Why you should join IPCC

  • The place in Chicago to meet, socialize and network with  colleagues from the international and domestic press, publicity, advertising, corporate, diplomatic and government worlds.

  • IPCC is a non-profit, member-operated organization.

Join us for lunch any Wednesday or Friday at noon for:

  • stimulating discussion

  • good food and  drinks

  • the boisterous camaraderie for which Chicago press clubs have been famous for over a century.

Reciprocity & Visitors

  • IPCC has reciprocity with most of the press clubs in the world.

  • Visitors are always welcome.

The IPCC Club Rooms

Location

The Executive Plaza, 71 E. Wacker Drive, ground floor, off  Florio's restaurant.

Dining

  • Open for lunch every Wednesday and Friday, from 12:00 noon. During lunch times you may call the club rooms at: 312 857-0120.

  • Members receive a 10% discount on menu prices of food and beverages. Most meals are under $10.

  • The club dining room may be reserved at other times for press conferences, meetings and parties.

The Wendell L. Smith Memorial Round Table

  • Why lunch alone?

  • Join us around the Wendell L. Smith Memorial Round Table, where meeting other members and guests is not only easy, it's inevitable.

  • Meet old friends, make new ones.

Refuge

  • In the time-honored tradition of Chicago press clubs, IPCC offers a mid-day sanctuary for the world-weary, solace for the stressed or shy,  a bistro for the bored, a bit of bonhomie for the beleaguered.

  • Informality is the order of the day, every day.

The Sidney Reilly Society

  • Wednesday lunches offer a special treat for those interested in history, espionage and intrigue.

  • After lunch, the Sidney Reilly Society presents scholarly (and not-so-scholarly) toasts to notable personages from the life and times of Reilly, Ace of Spies. Some of the toasters are ex-spooks themselves (or at least a bit spooky).

Visitors welcome

  • Non-members are welcome to try the club before joining.

  • No appointment or invitation is required -- just show up any Wednesday or Friday at noon.

  • The only requirement for visitors is an open mind, a sense of humor and an appetite, preferably in that order.
